With effect from 1 March 2013, we will no longer quote new business or renewals for the following Private Car products:
• Executive Option
• Economy Drive
• Orchid
• Sapphire
• Standard
The above policies have been replaced by our new Private Car product that is competitively priced and available by full cycle EDI.
From 29 January 2013, the 30 day quote guarantee for new business that would normally apply to the products listed above will no longer be applicable.
Brokers with existing business
You are still able to process mid-term adjustments through your system until all existing policies expire. Before your customer's policy is due for renewal we will confirm to you in writing the policy expiry and proof of no claims bonus where applicable.
Using your broker software system you can obtain a quote on our new Private Car product. If an Equity Red Star quote is not generated please contact our Private Car team for further assistance on 0845 603 2412.
How to activate our new Equity Red Star Private Car product
To access this product you will need to activate it on your broker software system. This is an essential step that will allow you to transfer existing risks.
