ERS, the specialist motor insurer at Lloyds, is proud to announce that it is a new corporate supporter of the London and Wales Air Ambulance charities. The alliance is announced as National Air Ambulance Week gets underway this week (19-26 September).
London's Air Ambulance (LAA) attends some 2,000 incidents a year, of which approximately a third (30%) are associated with Road Traffic Collisions. Wales Air Ambulance (WAA) carries out approximately 1,500 missions a year, again of which a third relate to Road Traffic Collisions.
The charities were selected following a vote among over 650 employees across ERS's London and Swansea offices. For a minimum of three years staff at each location will run their own initiatives, and also support those organised by LAA and WAA to raise much-needed funds to support the work of both charities in their respective regions.
To celebrate the partnership, and as its first company fundraising activity, staff at ERS's Swansea office ran a raffle which has raised over £500 for the WAA.
With offices in London and Wales, the relationship also allows ERS to contribute directly to the communities in which it operates.
