Specialist motor insurer ERS is pleased to announce the appointment of Stuart Boles as Fleet Trading Underwriter for Scotland and Northern Ireland. Stuart joins form Axa Insurance where, as Account Manager, he was responsible for the strategic management and development of a portfolio of broker relationships in Scotland across commercial motor and other liabilities.
Stuart brings over 20 years’ of commercial underwriting experience and prior to Axa held senior underwriting roles at LV= Broker and UK General, supporting brokers in the placement of a wide range of combined and fleet-led products for commercial customers. In his new role Stuart brings ERS’ broker partners in Scotland and Northern Ireland direct access to local underwriting knowledge and capability alongside ERS’ A+ rated cover.
Based in Glasgow he will report to Head of Fleet, Chris Wilson. ERS’ specialist Fleet team provides bespoke cover for all types of fleet including car and van, coach, minibus, self-drive hire, hazardous vehicle and taxi, tailoring polices to suit the needs of SMEs through to large corporates. Commenting on the appointment Chris Wilson said: “Stuart has an exceptional reputation in the fleet market and is known by many of our broker partners in this region. However it’s a region we’re keen to develop and so I’m delighted to bring his knowledge and experience to the fleet team. I’m confident that Stuart’s presence will be of immediate value to exisiting as well as new brokers to ERS, particularly in areas such as difficult to place risks.”
