Specialist motor insurer ERS today announced the appointment of Francois-Xavier Boisseau, former Chief Executive Officer of Ageas UK Insurance, to its Board, effective immediately.
Boisseau brings more than 30 years of industry experience from his previous roles at Groupama, Ageas UK, Bollington, Lark, Carole Nash and AXA, where he worked for 15 years in a variety of senior positions. He also serves on the Board of Argo Lloyd’s Managing Agency as a non-executive director and as a non-executive director at Ecclesiastical.
Boisseau said: “ERS has an excellent reputation for specialist motor insurance amongst insurers and brokers. I’m honoured to join an organisation with such specialist expertise, strong technology infrastructure and an appetite for growth”.
Boisseau’s appointment is ERS’ second high-profile addition to its Board in 2020, following the recent appointment of Amanda Blanc as Chair of ERS.
ERS Board Chair Amanda Blanc commented: “I’m delighted to welcome Francois-Xavier to ERS’ Board. Having known him in the UK market for the last 20 years, he brings a strong track record from both insurers and brokers, which will be a great addition as ERS continues to grow in its specialist classes”.
Jeff Greenberg, Chairman and CEO of Aquiline Capital Partners and Chairman of ERS DGB, ERS’ holding company, added: “The Board and I would like to welcome Francois-Xavier to the ERS team. His deep knowledge of the industry will be a valuable addition to the board and will help the company continue to strengthen its position in the market”.
ERS DGB is majority owned by Aquiline Capital Partners, a private equity firm based in New York and London investing in businesses globally across financial services and technology, which invested in ERS DGB in 2013.
